5,4,3,2,1...BLASTOFF!

Today we went on a trip to the moon! Before we climbed on board of our space shuttle we sat down and packed our suitcase of what each of us would take with us on our journey to the moon. The girls packed dolls and Teddy bears. The boys were sure to put in some binoculars and tents. Kaiden even glued a GPS unit in his suitcase. He said it was so he could have a map to get home. So CUTE! We then put on our "Jet pack's", space helmet's, and "moon boots" to take that Giant Leap for all man kind! Each Castle Kid placed the US flag on the moon! They also had fun taking turns showing us their best Moon Walk!
Funny things kids say:
On Tuesday before we started to learn about space and space travel, I asked each kid how they thought we traveled to the moon. This is the response I was given:
-We take a Bunny Buck to the Moon
-We take a boat to the Moon
-We take a Rocket to the Moon
-We take a bunny to the Moon
-We take a Elephant to the Moon
Hopefully after today's lesson they all know how we travel to the moon.

Christmas Party!

Our Christmas party was filled with a few fun games. We played "Don't Land on Santa" (like a cake walk mixed with musical chairs), Reindeer, Reindeer, Rudolf ( like Duck, duck, goose), and we played a game of Christmas Tree & Santa hopscotch! The kids had made their very own Christmas stocking and hung it on our class fireplace. We had a day full of treats, games, and we also found some time to learn about the Christmas holiday! Happy Holidays!

To go along with Decembers theme of Fairy Tales and Fables we visited the Spanish Forks Children Library! We listened to story time, learned out how to check out books, and also learned there are more than books in a library. Keira wanted to stay and play games on the library's children's computer and Hailey wanted to sit in a comfy chair and read a book. Spanish Forks children's library is my Favorite Library and they have the cutest story time! The library offers different story times based on ages. You can call the library and find out the schedule.

Green Day in December!

Each month we have a special color day where the kids can wear the color of the month and we have a fun activity based around the theme and the months color. December's color was green so we frosted and decorated "Christmas Trees" with m&ms and green frosting that the kids made!

Hailey Jo's Me Day!

Happy Birthday Hailey Jo! Hailey is the youngest of our group turning 3 today! The kids had fun hitting a birthday crown pinata, and eating birthday cupcakes!

November 2009

In November we discovered the areas of a super market. We went to Payson Market and the kids had a fun time watching the Bakery cut loaves of bread, found out how the wrap meat and even got to walk into the Great Big Meat locker! The staff at Payson Market was Great and even gave each Castle Kid a cookie and some apples!

Halloween Fun!

This day was so much fun! It was a all girls day because our little Kaiden was out sick. So the girls had a great day experimenting with Dry Ice and dish soap, learning about cause and effect and just having a wonderful time! The Dry Ice Bubbles were probably the girls favorite next to frosting Halloween cookies and having a haunted candy hunt around our classroom. They also weaved a little spider web as they sung itsy bitsy spider.

October Fun!

Yes it isn't October but I haven't updated my blog for a while! In October we visited a Country Farm in Payson, UT. The kids had a lot of fun running through a straw maze, enjoying a hay ride, taking a LOT of pictures and picking out their very own small pumpkin! Although it was REALLY cold outside the kids had a lot of fun!

Keira's Me Day!

Happy Birthday to Keira! Keira was our first Pre-School friend ot have a me day! She turned 4 years old! Happy Birthday Keira!
